Plans, Trials, and Billing: In Plain Language
Forge starts with a 14-day free trial. Creating your account and starting the trial does not ask for a card. If you choose to subscribe during the trial, checkout collects a payment method at that point, and your first charge comes when the trial ends. We never charge a payment method you have not given us. The plan is $249/month, which covers your first 3 seats, staff or sub, plus $39/month per additional staff seat and $9.99/month per additional sub seat. Billed annually it is $2,390/year plus $374/year per additional staff seat and $95.90/year per additional sub seat. A paid plan renews automatically each month or year until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from Settings without calling us. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. If your trial ends and you have not added a payment method, your account pauses rather than converting to a paid plan. Nothing you have created is deleted when an account pauses. Sections 4 through 9 below are the binding terms; this summary does not replace them.

12. Connected Apps, AI Tools and the Forge API
12.1 What this covers. Forge offers a public API and an MCP server (together, the "Forge API"). Through them, software and AI tools that your company chooses ("connected apps") can read your company's data in Forge, once your company allows it. An owner or admin may separately allow an app to create jobs and their clients, edit job details, link external job IDs, decide and sync daily sweep segments, merge duplicate jobs, record estimate outcomes, record the prices sent to clients and what work actually cost, and propose rate changes for an owner or admin to approve. These edits are recorded. Connected apps cannot change money, permissions or ownership, or delete records. API keys remain read only.
12.2 Your company directs the sharing. A connected app reads your data only because your company told us to allow it. Data access is available by default. An owner or admin can turn it off in Settings. Each connection still needs its own approval. Each connection is approved on a consent screen by the person who connects it, or an owner or admin creates an API key. An API key works with both the public API and the MCP server. When they do this, they act for your company, and they confirm they have the authority to do so. Sharing through a connected app is a disclosure your company directs. It is not a disclosure made by Forge on its own behalf.
12.3 Who may connect. Owners and admins approve connections with full access and create API keys; project managers and estimators can connect apps such as Claude with read-only access, and see only what they see in the app; subs and clients cannot connect.
12.4 Your responsibilities. You are responsible for: • choosing each connected app, and reading its terms and privacy policy before you connect it; • what a connected app, and anyone who uses it, does with the data it reads; • having the right to share your clients' and other people's information with the apps you connect; • telling everyone you record in a job walk or daily sweep that they are being recorded, and getting any consent the law requires, before you record, and having the right to share those recordings and their transcripts with the apps you connect; • keeping API keys and connection details secret from anyone your company has not chosen to authorise; and • ending any connection you no longer need, or that you think is being misused.
You are responsible for everyone you give a key to.
12.5 What we share and what we do not. A connection is read only unless an owner or admin separately allows the edits described in Section 12.1. It sees one company only. We share the data described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy. We share the transcripts and audio and video recordings of your job walks and daily sweeps, each through its own read. We also share 3D room models when your company captures them. We do not repeat quotations taken from recordings inside your scopes and estimates. We never share, through a connected app, receipt photos or the exact location saved with a photo. We do share your clients' names, job addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, because they are your company's records about your own customers, and Section 12.4 makes you responsible for having the right to share them and the recordings that hold their words. Where a number is labelled as a customer price, it is your marked-up price. A connected app receives text exactly as your team, subcontractors and clients wrote or said it.
12.6 Apps are run by others. Each connected app is provided by someone other than Forge, under that provider's own terms. We do not control connected apps. We are not responsible for them, for whether they work, or for what they do with data they read from Forge. Forge is not liable for any loss caused by a connected app or by data your company directed us to share with one.
12.7 Ending a connection. Any owner or admin can end any connection in Settings. Turning off Data access ends every connection and API key at once. A connection also ends automatically when the person who made it leaves your company or their role no longer allows it. We may suspend or end a connection or an API key if we reasonably believe it is being misused or puts the Service or other customers at risk. We will tell you when we do, unless the law or a security reason stops us.
12.8 When your account is paused. Access through the Forge API is part of your plan. If your account pauses, for example because a trial ends without a subscription or because a payment fails and is not resolved, connected apps and API keys are refused with a message that says billing is the reason. We do not delete your connections or API keys while an account is paused. They work again when your account is active.
12.9 The Forge API itself. Use the Forge API only as described in our documentation at app.forge.equipment/docs. We may change the Forge API. We will try to give you reasonable notice before a change that breaks a connection you use.
